As a Recruitment Channel Marketer, this role supports the business and recruiting team at Amazon, by partnering closely with external job boards, career platforms and aggregator engines in Japan, and across Asia to support and influence the hiring of entry-level to senior roles, by utilizing the right channels to speak with candidates from every imaginable industry. The successful candidate should have a strong background in recruitment marketing, and/or recruiting, with the ability to strategically manage sites and platforms with high volume of job postings vs strategic channels targeting specialized positions. The marketing manager will develop and design joint marketing plans independently and with external partners, create collaterals and manage budgets to drive effective channel marketing work, while engaging candidates through personalized, relevant communications and copywriting. In this position, you will demonstrate a detailed understanding of the effectiveness of various careers platform across Asia, understanding the relationship between content quality, recruitment channel strategy, and application conversion rates. The role requires a highly analytical mindset as well as creativity to identify channel and content gaps and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strength in tactical sides of marketing, consistently using data to inform channel and job board decisions, while being strategic towards think big experiments. In this role, you will be the key contact for recruitment channel and job boards engagement initiatives with a strong focus on Japan, and developing similar strategies for Asia Pacific, serving as the bridge between local needs and global stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop, activate, and optimize paid marketing strategies such as Job Boards, Career sites, Aggregator platforms and beyond to speak to the right candidates at the right time.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment marketing campaigns, from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, launch, and reporting.
• Analyze existing marketing automation workflows to identify and implement optimization opportunities that improve both performance metrics and candidate experience.
• Analyze, report on, and optimize against key metrics including click-through rates, open rates, conversions, and engagement using data to measure effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
• Recommend and implement iterative A/B testing to continually improve performance through optimized messaging, targeting, and send strategies.
• Engage with partners and platforms to drive strategic reviews and improve the job application experience through relevant advertising and communications based on where they are in their job-seeking journey. Create targeted messaging that resonates with different candidate segments.
• Identify channel and content gaps between what is available and the ideal state to share news on Amazon hourly wage and full-time roles and drive application. Work with vendors and platforms on systems integration to support strategic automation.
• Work with local and global teams to review effectiveness of job boards and other recruitment marketing, accurately reflect our product offerings, and communicate our Employee Value Proposition well.
• Co-lead Japan and Asia-specific projects, build trust and effectively communicate plans to bring global, regional, and local stakeholders along the innovation journey.
• Leverage data analysis to measure content and channel effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and tell compelling stories that drive applications.
• Prepare reports and presentations that clearly articulate local challenges, proposed solutions, and results to both Japanese and international stakeholders.
A day in the life
Your day begins by reviewing performance metrics across paid channels such as job boards, career platforms, and job aggregator sites —specifically analyzing internal data and agency data to identify which initiatives are driving the highest quality applications and which need optimization.
You'll spend time on various internal and external tools, ensuring segmentation logic is accurate and candidates are receiving the right level of information through each channel.
Throughout the day, you collaborate with recruiters and business leaders to manage job board requests and evaluation, work with the right internal stakeholders on budgeting and decisions, and coordinate with partners on content edits and contracts.
You're constantly analyzing candidate journey data and workflows to understand where content and channel gaps exist, where automation is possible, and how to implement better processes to build a better strategy to support hiring at Amazon – across multiple lines of businesses.
You navigate well between Japanese and English communications, communicating local market insights to global teams and work with regional partners to establish best practices.
You balance executing today's scheduled campaigns with planning future launches and optimizing existing automated flows. You conduct A/B tests, multivariate testing (MVT) on subject lines, messaging, and publishing times, then analyze results to inform future strategies. The ideal candidate leverages data to gain insights and solve problems, has an eye for design, an ability to write well in Japanese, and brings channel planning and strategic skills to the role.
You lead and contribute to project meetings, review drafts by your team and by vendors, and ensure all materials accurately represent Amazon's employer brand promise while resonating with Japanese and Asia-based job seekers. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or customer engagement
- Solid skills in reading and writing in both Japanese and English
- Experience using email and CRM platforms
- Thorough understanding of email and SMS marketing best practices and ability to learn our in-house email & SMS platform quickly
- Strong communication skills to clarify local needs to global stakeholders
- Strong project management skills to lead projects and ensure implementation in the local market
- Ability to understand complex product offerings and market-specific nuances, and to translate that into compelling content
- Demonstrated experience using data to drive content and engagement improvements
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working in cross-functional and cross-cultural team environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in recruitment marketing or talent acquisition
- Knowledge of non-paid marketing channels including organic search, referral programs, and content marketing
- Experience managing content for Japanese market audiences
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and campaign optimization
- Background in employer branding or employee value proposition development
