Location: Nashville, TN
Multiple Positions Available:
1. Design, develop, test, and deliver straightforward solutions (e.g., workflow/process path layout, space utilization/efficiency, ergonomics, etc.), seeking input and guidance from team members or your manager.
2. Identify and communicate any issues associated with the design, development, implementation, and optimization of fulfillment-center technologies or design solution.
3. Utilize engineering best practices (e.g., operational excellence, performance, quality, etc.) to deliver high quality, operationally excellent models and designs (e.g., safety, high quality, and performance) that meet the needs of the business (e.g., accurate, on-time, works with their specifications, etc.).
4. Collaborate with the team and pears to deliver projects and artifacts (e.g., AutoCAD files, specifications as needed, design frameworks, mathematical models, RFPs).
5. Work effectively with peers, engineers, and internal partners to understand their needs and identify any opportunities/problems arising from technical decisions.
6. Invent, develop, and refine solutions to ensure they are meeting customer, business, operational, technology, and team goals.
7. Understand business impact of technical designs and show good judgment when making design suggestions, ensuring they meet performance and scaling targets.
8. Assume responsibility for the specific aspects of the design or system you work on, and get solutions reviewed and test them thoroughly before implementing.
9. Classify, store, and handle data in accordance with Amazon policies.
10. Identify and track risks, either mitigating or escalating them appropriately, in a timely manner.
11. Maintain characteristics, runtime properties, and dependencies of the systems you work with.
12. Document solutions clearly to ensure that future generations of IDs understand the intent behind them.
13. Troubleshoot, research the root cause and thoroughly resolve defects.
14. Make recommendations for improvements and take ownership of issues (even when outside your own domain), propose solutions, and either resolve or ensure a clear hand-off to the right owner.
Domestic or international travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $106912 - $160000)

Basic Qualifications
A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 1 year(s) of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field followed by 3 year(s) of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Must have 1 year(s) of experience in the following:
1. Experience in ownership/management of engineering design projects.
2. Experience in experience using business/technical software including MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
