Serve as technical liaison between Applied Science, Data Engineering, and Business teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring models are production-ready for scale
Drive architecture and system design discussions that evaluate trade-offs and ensure solutions support scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency across large-scale retail operations
Manage cross-functional dependencies and competing priorities across Science, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Retail organizations, driving alignment at executive leadership levels and implementing risk mitigations
A day in the life
As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Retail Business Services, you'll navigate the intersection of machine learning innovation and retail operations. Your day might include facilitating a design discussion with our Applied Science team to evaluate trade-offs in a new catalog enrichment model, then pivoting to align cross-functional stakeholders on data pipeline architecture for supply chain defect elimination. You'll translate complex technical requirements into clear specifications, work with Data Engineering to ensure models are production-ready, and build measurement frameworks that quantify business impact. You'll also prepare executive narratives for leadership forums, manage competing priorities across multiple retail organizations, and identify risks early to keep large-scale programs on track. Throughout it all, you're solving problems that directly affect how millions of products are discovered and purchased by customers globally.
