The successful candidate influences product development direction, identifies and drives suppliers to develop essential technology, elucidates cost and performance tradeoffs at product and architecture levels to meet near-term and long-term cost targets, and develops supply chain strategies enabling both rapid development and clear paths to scale. The Sr. Manager operates with significant autonomy, managing high degrees of product and technology ambiguity with evolving requirements and priorities, making one-way-door decisions on technology, suppliers, and tooling investments. This role requires deep understanding of advanced technology development and suppliers, balancing new technology risks with vendor strategies, scaling plans, and cost reduction strategies. The Sr, Manager with his team develops multi-phase, multi-generational supply chain and cost strategies, leads products with largest projected spend exceeding $100M annually in GA, manages multiple products and development efforts in parallel, mentors L6s and L5s across robotics supply chain, and establishes standardized tools and processes including cost roadmaps, tradeoff assessments, and supply chain risk models for broader team use. The position requires executive presence to share programmatic updates at higher leadership levels, collaborating and influencing stakeholders across product design, hardware development, Finance, Legal, and Global Operations to ensure supply chain strategies meet technical capabilities, cost, and business objectives.
We are looking for strong business owners who can Think Big, Deliver Results, and leaders who are ready to make long lasting impact to Amazon Robotics technologies. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where delivery time for new products and features is typically measured in months. The leader will have a proven background in Robotics automation, global supplier management and new product introduction on the development and scaled production of advanced technology. The successful candidate for this position will be experienced working with cross-functional leaders from product, engineering, manufacturing, and field operations. They are self-managing, have a high sense of urgency and driven to achieve product development and deployment. They will be a highly visible leader that will own the communication, coordination execution, and delivery of a multi-year program vision.

- Act as single point of contact for program resources (leadership and working teams) to communicate Supply Chain decisions and PDP progress, provide feedback on supply chain implications of program decisions and changes, and support financial planning and capital approvals for the program.
- Develop and own comprehensive supply chain strategies that address make vs. buy decisions, regionalization, and risk management, synthesizing inputs from Engineering, Advance Manufacturing (AME),Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), Sourcing (GCM), and Manufacturing (RMTO) to create balanced recommendations that consider all supply chain elements including long-term scalability.
- Product Development Process (PDP) Integration & Governance
- Maintain ownership of overall supply chain requirements throughout product development phases, conducting gate reviews, validating deliverables, and ensuring proper documentation while identifying and resolving risks through appropriate channels.
- Responsible for definition and approval of Product-level Supply Chain Strategy documents, including identification of critical components and suppliers, product cost roadmap to meet payback targets, definition of capacity plan and associated sourcing and tooling requirements, and supply chain risk assessment & mitigation plans.
Cost Management & Performance Optimization
