We are looking for a software engineer to join our Cross-Border Listings (CBL) team. The CBL team mission is to reduce friction for Selling Partners to list their products globally and cross-channel. We create platform-level services that streamline the development of global listing experiences for Sellers. Our vision is for there to be no additional friction for Selling Partners to list globally or cross-channel in comparison to a single marketplace.
Key job responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable web applications and APIs using modern frameworks and AWS technologies
• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
• Contribute to improving code quality, design patterns, and engineering best practices
• Support and mentor team members while participating in code reviews and technical discussions
About the team
The Core Selling Partner Experience (CSPE) team builds world-class experiences to help Selling Partners across the world bring great selection at low prices for our shopping customers. The Listings team within CSPE is responsible for the tools and services Selling Partners use to do this, as well as the listing policies and guidance put into place to make sure they're successful. The Cross-Border Listings (CBL) team within Listings is responsible for providing Selling Partners the tools to list their products globally and cross-channel.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting
- Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
