Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced senior leader to serve as Director of Network Infrastructure Sourcing and Procurement. This role owns the end-to-end sourcing strategy for the components that connect every server in every AWS data center to the network, one of the fastest-growing and most technically complex portfolios in the company.
You will lead a global organization responsible for the procurement of networking ASICs, optical transceivers, lasers, optical fiber cable, and OEM networking equipment. This portfolio is experiencing extraordinary growth driven by AI and machine learning infrastructure expansion, with spend scaling multiple times over the next two years.
In this role, you will build and lead a team of senior sourcing and supply chain leaders while owning executive relationships with CEOs and senior leaders at the world's leading semiconductor, photonics, and fiber optic companies. You will develop multi-year sourcing strategies that secure supply, reduce total cost of ownership, mitigate geopolitical risk, and position AWS to meet its growth targets.
You will work at the intersection of latest networking technology and global supply chain operations. This requires deep technical curiosity and the ability to translate complex technology roadmaps into clear commercial strategies.
The ideal candidate is a proven executive leader who combines large-scale technical supply chain expertise with the ability to build high-performing organizations, influence at the highest levels, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. They bring a track record of defining and executing category strategies at scale, driving complex negotiations, building deep supplier partnerships, and creating scalable processes that deliver continuous improvement.

• Own executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers, influencing their technology investments, capacity allocation, and product roadmaps to serve long-term AWS interests.

• Provide regular updates to VP-level leadership on supply strategy, risk posture, and critical commercial decisions requiring approval.

• Identify and close critical supply gaps across a portfolio growing at exceptional rates.
• Create scalable mechanisms and data-driven decision frameworks to support rapid portfolio growth.
