We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Sr. FinOps Analyst to join our fast-paced NA Payroll Operations team. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis across multiple US states. The ideal candidate will perform technical tasks including data compilation, ticket resolution, payment posting, pre payroll audits, and cross-functional collaboration with the broader Payroll teams.
Key job responsibilities
• Execute end-to-end payroll utilizing vendor payroll software, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement across multiple pay frequencies and US & Canada states.
• Ability to audit payroll-related data to validate authenticity and accuracy of all inputs received prior to processing.
• Review, validate, and process input records in payroll systems after performing thorough due diligence.
• Demonstrate proficiency in legal, severance, final, and missing pay processing via designated ingress points.
• Process manual check calculations, coordinate with vendors for stop payments/reversals, enter paycheck US Bank card entries, and assist with check distribution.
• Process wage garnishments in compliance with federal and state laws; handle garnishment queries, generate responses, and process refunds to ensure Amazon's legal compliance.
• Address employee queries and resolve concerns promptly, in alignment with Amazon Leadership Principles.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
- Experience with payroll
- Experience with Payroll Systems, HRIS
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, account receivable (collections) or general ledger experience
- • Experience with US Payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, PeopleSoft) and HRIS platforms
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality on payroll and employee-sensitive data
- • Experience handling high-volume payroll in a multi-state environment
- • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
