Amazon Leo is seeking a Learning Leader to drive talent development initiatives across our Production Operations teams. This leader will be crucial in shaping the future of our workforce capabilities, aligning with Leo's mission to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Sr. Technical Architect will be responsible for creating innovative learning ecosystems, partnering with front line leaders to develop technical training plans and establishing career development frameworks that support Leo's rapid growth and evolving technological landscape.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Learning and Development, this leader will influence Leo's talent strategy and organizational capabilities. The role demands a strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into learning and development initiatives that drive performance, innovation, and employee engagement.
As a Sr. Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Leo's future workforce. Your vision and execution will directly impact our ability to innovate, scale, and deliver on our mission of global connectivity. You will be at the forefront of defining how a next-generation aerospace company develops talent in the age of AI, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute on Learning Experience initiatives that directly that align with Leo goals and technological roadmap.
- Design, develop and implement comprehensive learning solutions and training programs to facilitate meaningful growth experiences for employees.
- Design and implement scalable learning ecosystems that can support rapid workforce growth and evolving skill requirements.
- Create a comprehensive career development framework for all levels, from hourly technicians to senior leadership.
- Establish strategic partnerships with Amazon peers, and industry experts to build talent pipelines and foster innovation in learning experiences.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI measurements for learning initiatives, demonstrating impact on business outcomes.
- Provide a structured cadence of updates to stakeholders, offering insights into the status of learning priorities, potential risks, and achieved successes.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning and innovation throughout the organization while measuring success and developing best practices.
- Collaborate to develop a blended learning program that includes corporate culture, compliance, and role specific learning.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- 3+ years of with Learning & Development and course facilitation experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Technical Training, Design, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Experience in a training role, including technical training
- Experience in training, performance management and coaching/mentoring
- Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on material handling equipment (MHE) and automated conveyor systems
- Experience implementing and enforcing safety standards within warehouse and maintenance environments
- Experience developing or delivering training programs across multiple sites or regions
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Experience developing courses within an advanced Learning Management System.
- Experience working with and delivering training/information to all levels of employees
- Proven track record of developing, implementing and scaling learning strategies in high-growth, technology-driven organizations
- Demonstrated success in using data analytics to drive learning strategy and demonstrate business impact
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience with graphic training systems, multimedia content creation, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration
- Experience leading training strategy initiatives across large-scale operations and working cross-functionally at senior levels
- Experience mentoring trainers, using data analytics for training effectiveness measurement, and leading change management initiatives
- Master's degree (MBA or related discipline), or Bachelor's degree or above
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes, or experience working with stakeholders
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Detail oriented, excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills especially narrative writing
- Previous Operations Management experience strongly preferred as well as experience with business intelligence and analytics
- Proven experience in corporate learning and development
- Proficient in industry standard Learning Management Systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
