As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon’s unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We will accomplish this by accelerating our customers’ businesses through delivery of intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon’s real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.
The Amazon Agentic WorkSpaces organization is looking for a Senior Software Development Manager to lead the future of secure, high-performance agentic WorkSpaces Applications environments. This leader will be responsible for scaling our multi-session business and developing an industry-leading provisioning and management experience for WorkSpaces Applications that power millions of human users and AI agents. These environments span the full spectrum of customer needs, including desktops, applications, serving knowledge workers, task workers, and automation agents.
As a Sr. SDM in this role, you will champion an automation-first, AI-native mindset to build solutions that dynamically configure environments based on customer needs. You will obsess about minimizing the operational burden on administrators while maximizing their control and agility. This means anticipating the day-to-day needs of administrators and our partners, and embedding those capabilities directly into the architecture, reducing manual effort through thoughtful design, intelligent defaults, and self-service mechanisms. You will meet administrators where they are—building solutions that work for customers who are already cloud-native as well as those beginning their cloud journey.
You will own the operational excellence and security posture of the WorkSpaces Applications fleet. This includes establishing industry-leading security practices, enabling rapid and safe fleet-wide changes, and building scalable, reusable mechanisms that simplify operations and accelerate delivery across the business. A core expectation is to champion simplicity and consistency, ensuring solutions are implemented once and leveraged broadly to maximize velocity, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
In this role, you will lead multiple software development teams to evolve and create data architectures and product solutions that are exemplary in terms of robustness, stability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. You will proactively identify technology gaps and opportunities, participate in strategic initiatives spanning 1-3 years, and write effective communications including Mission statements, Tenets, and PR/FAQs. Your decisions will impact software architecture and major products across the our portfolio.
