ABOUT THE TEAM
Joining our team provides the unique challenge and opportunity to deliver software that benefits many customers around the world. The Fraud Defense Engineering team sits within Audible's inSpire organization. We build the tooling, platforms, and automated systems that protect the integrity and trustworthiness of Audible's business for creators, listeners, and customers. Our primary focus is Fraud Defense — engineering the detection mechanisms, investigation tools, and enforcement capabilities that enable defense against Creator Fraud, Anti-Piracy Fraud, and Consumer Fraud across all marketplaces. We are also experts in ensuring that Audible meets its data handling and customer privacy obligations.

A day in the life
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming experience
- Experience with AWS or cloud technologies
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience (technical and operational) with multiple domain areas of programmatic advertising technologies (DSP, RTB, bid shading, machine learning optimization, ad verification, ad tracking, ad attribution, etc.)
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high growth environment
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers, or experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience in delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations
