Key job responsibilities
As an MCAD Tools Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a stable, reliable set of Mechanical Computer Aided Design (MCAD) tools and database management for electrical engineering design, layout, and simulation engineers. You will anticipate tool needs, develop custom features and functionality, collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical support, and create and develop processes to enable successful and rapid development of a leading-edge low earth orbit satellite constellation. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years experience in CAD software customization, with a strong focus on Siemens NX
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python and other .NET languages
- Strong understanding of 3D modeling, engineering drawings, and product lifecycle management (PLM) concepts
- Experience integrating CAD systems with other enterprise software (e.g., PLM, ERP, simulation tools)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services
- Multiple years automating CAD/PLM workflows/processes.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
