Want to help Earth's most customer-centric company design, build, and scale technology products that power risk mitigation strategies, improve the customer experience, and protect Amazon's brand?
In this role, you will own the product vision and roadmap for technology solutions that support Amazon's risk and compliance operations across transportation, global trade, food safety, and supply chain. You will work closely with GSARC business teams to translate strategic risk and compliance needs into scalable product experiences — building tools and systems that safeguard Amazon's commercial motor carrier authorities, support business growth, and ensure a safe, compliant, and trustworthy experience for our partner business units, carrier partners, employees, and customers. You will be expected to apply product thinking to risk and control concepts across new and existing business models, define product requirements grounded in customer understanding, and partner with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work collaboratively with compliance/business stakeholders, legal, and finance teams to build world-class, customer-centric technology products that enable compliance and risk management at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned GRAM-T technology products, working backwards from customer needs to define what to build, why it matters, and how to measure success.
- Define product requirements (PR/FAQs, product specs) by deeply understanding the workflows of risk managers and auditors who use our tools daily, as well as the downstream impact our audit outputs have on carrier partners.
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from discovery through execution, launch, and adoption, partnering with engineering to evaluate technical proposals, assess feasibility, and ensure appropriate trade-offs between speed, scalability, and system health.
- Use data and metrics to drive product decisions, define success criteria, prioritize the roadmap, and quantify the impact of risk programs enabled by your products.
- Build cross-functional partnerships with internal stakeholders (risk managers, legal, and finance) to translate risk and compliance initiatives into product capabilities.
- Drive product adoption by engaging directly with end users, gathering feedback, and iterating to optimize the customer experience.
- Leverage AI capabilities to accelerate development cycles, enable faster learning, and unlock new forms of innovation within GRAM-T technology products.
A day in the life
As a Product Manager II - Tech on the GRAM-T Tech team, you will start your day reviewing product metrics and user feedback from risk managers and auditors using your tools across multiple regions. You might spend your morning in a sprint planning session with your engineering team, discussing technical trade-offs for a new feature that automates inspection workflow tracking or enhances carrier partner corrective action plan management. Mid-day, you'll join a working session with risk manager stakeholders to understand an emerging compliance gap, whether related to transportation regulations, global trade requirements, or food safety standards, translating their operational pain points into product requirements. In the afternoon, you'll draft a product specification for a new capability, diving deep into the technical architecture with your engineers to ensure the solution scales across Amazon's global network. You'll close the day by analyzing adoption data for a recently launched feature, identifying opportunities to improve the user experience, and updating your roadmap priorities based on what you've learned. Throughout, you'll balance the needs of multiple customer personas; risk managers conducting oversight activities, carrier partners remediating findings, and leadership teams needing visibility into compliance posture, while maintaining a clear product vision that reduces risk and enables business growth.
