AMZL Sr. Station Leader is responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for an Amazon Logistics Delivery Station (DS). Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the DS,
Lead all delivery station operations with full accountability for safety, quality, performance, customer experience, and people development
Set clear expectations for Operations, Area, and Shift Managers, measure their performance, and provide coaching to support their growth and accountability
Build and execute a comprehensive talent plan that includes recruitment, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives
Manage 24/7 operations handling Amazon last-mile deliveries, oversee relationships with multiple Delivery Service Partners, and present operational metrics to senior leadership
Partner with key stakeholders across Transport & Sortation, Finance, HR, Loss Prevention, and Engineering to secure resources and implement strategic improvement initiatives.
A day in the life
As Senior Station Leader, you'll oversee all aspects of delivery station operations, from managing safety and quality metrics to coaching your Operations, Area, and Shift Managers through real-time challenges. You might start your day reviewing overnight performance data, then move into coaching conversations with your management team about process improvements. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with Delivery Service Partners on logistics coordination, analyze operational metrics for senior leadership presentations, and identify opportunities to streamline workflows. You'll also dedicate time to talent development.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Experience in people management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in understanding performance metrics and developing them to measure progress against key performance indicators
