Communications (PR) Manager (12-Month Contract), International Stores Communications

Amazon is seeking a communications professional to join its International Stores Communications Hub team based in London, UK on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role supports Amazon's Stores business across countries and regions outside the US — spanning Europe, Middle East, Latin America, and APAC.
As part of a central hub team, you will support the execution and delivery of centralised communications strategies, messaging, and playbooks while partnering with in-country comms teams across up to 29 countries to localise and deliver programmes at scale.

You will work across some of Amazon's most customer-facing Stores priorities – from Global Shopping Events (such as Prime Day, Black Friday) and selection (Fashion, Beauty, Everyday Essentials, and more).

You will support both proactive and reactive communications and help maintain mechanisms to coordinate international programmes efficiently. This role requires close collaboration with US-based, and in-country based comms counterparts, cross-functional teams (Marketing, Category, Product), and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, geographies, and organisational boundaries.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Key job responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of centralised PR messaging, narratives, and campaign playbooks for priority Stores topics that can be localised across diverse regions
- Partner with in-country PR teams across Europe, LATAM, MENA, and APAC to help localise and execute communications programmes, ensuring consistency while allowing for country-level relevance
- Support assigned topic areas, contributing communications inputs and materials as directed by senior team members
- Support reactive media inquiries and issues as needed
- Help maintain and implement scalable mechanisms (playbooks, toolkits, calendars, processes) to coordinate B2C communications programmes across up to 29 countries
- Collaborate with US comms counterparts and global leads to ensure alignment on worldwide strategies, messaging, and timing
- Coordinate with third-party business partners, brands, and customers on announcements and joint initiatives
- Draft and manage approvals for press materials, statements, talking points, and external messaging
- Track industry trends, competitive landscape, and media sentiment to surface insights and opportunities to the wider team
- Contribute to team-wide planning processes


About the team
The International Stores Communications Hub is a central team based in London, supporting priority Stores communications across all countries outside the US. We set strategic direction, develop centralised messaging and playbooks, and partner with local in-country comms teams and US-based global leads to scale international communications activity efficiently. Our remit spans Prime, delivery experience, Global Shopping Events, category communications, shopping innovations, value and pricing perception, and high growth business topics.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in professional communications or public relations
- Experience developing successful marketing or communications campaigns
- Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Proficiency in communications measurement and evaluation

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing communication with geographically distributed teams
- Knowledge of analytic tools
- Strong analytical skills, including budget management and KPI tracking
- Knowledge of retail and e-commerce industry trends
- Experience with influencer relations and social media campaigns
