Job Description AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Integration and Interface Senior Manager. This is a replacement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Direct the planning and execution of systems integration activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and oversee Integration Management Plans and integration strategies.
- Develops, implement, leads and ensures successful integration of vehicles, signaling, communications, traction power, facilities, operations, maintenance systems, cybersecurity, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and supporting infrastructure.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to achieve system-level performance objectives.
- Lead system integration reviews and readiness assessments.
- Prior experience in developing, reviewing, and approving Requirement Management Plans, Verification and Validation Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Conformance Checklists.
- Prior experience working as part of a requirements management team in managing requirements throughout a project full lifecycle;
- Significant understanding of requirements engineering and the application of requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
- Prior experience managing requirements processes from initial customer requirements gathering through final production acceptance.
- Ensure system-wide compatibility, interoperability, and operational performance.
- Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
- Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
- Is able to conduct and collaborate in gap analyses to ensure the solution that is presented covers the requirement and that the appropriate information is interchanged between parties as well as follows up the interface until its agreement and/or conclusion.
- Experience in dealing with subcontractors and clients
- Able to manage complex projects and takes accountability for their scope of work.
- Produces project reports and can implement corrective actions when needed.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Able to work with multidisciplinary teams and to working remotely with design teams.
- Preparation of bids, proposals, or tenders, and develop and manage budgets and planning for activities and projects.
- Produces and/or reviews scope of works and estimations for systems activities.
- Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
- Supervises a group of managers, engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit.
Systems Interface Management- Define, review, and manage interface requirements between systems, subsystems, external stakeholders, contractors, operators, maintainers, and third parties.
- Direct the development and implementation of Interface Management Plans.
- Oversee preparation and maintenance of interface registers, interface matrices, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), responsibility matrices, and RACI charts.
- Ensure effective management of internal and external interfaces and compatibility across all project systems.
- Lead the identification, resolution, escalation, and closure of critical interface issues and risks.
- Manage stakeholder engagement processes related to interface coordination and agreement.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor Degree + 15 years of relevant experience Rail Systems Integration Engineer for all Primary (and Sub-System/Elements) Rail Design Systems (15288 & 50126)
- 10+ years experience with projects and their design lifecycles
- P Eng
- Driving License
Preferred Qualifications:- Used to implement and work under the principles of following standards: IEEE 1220, IEEE 24748, ISO 1528824748
- 29148: Systems Engineering Life Cycle processes & Requirements Management; ISO 50163: Traction Power & Running simulation; NFPA 130: TVS – FLS – MEPF Stations & Tunnels; EN50126, IEC 62278 & 62267
- Experience in system assurance
- INCOSE CSEP
- Design experience and inner knowledge of transit/rail projects will be preferred
