Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced GSAS Specialist to lead sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives for large-scale international airport projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) certification process, ensuring all project phases comply with GSAS requirements and sustainability objectives. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to achieve targeted sustainability ratings while promoting energy efficiency, environmental stewardship, and resource conservation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the GSAS certification process from project planning through final certification.
- Ensure compliance with all GSAS criteria, sustainability standards, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review architectural, civil, structural, MEP, and infrastructure designs to ensure alignment with GSAS requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to achieve targeted GSAS certification levels.
- Prepare, review, and submit all required documentation for GSAS certification.
- Conduct sustainability assessments, audits, and compliance reviews during design and construction phases.
- Advise project teams on energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable material selection.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure sustainability measures are properly implemented.
- Identify sustainability risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Prepare sustainability reports, progress updates, and compliance documentation for management and regulatory authorities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring on GSAS requirements to project teams.
- Liaise with relevant certification bodies and authorities to facilitate successful project certification.
- Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies for airport infrastructure projects.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certified GSAS Specialist (CGSAS) or equivalent GSAS accreditation is mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of knowledge and hands-on experience in the implementation and management of GSAS requirements and certification.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience on large international airport projects.
- Proven experience managing sustainability certification for complex infrastructure or aviation projects.
