Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience partnering with a consumer brand to create social media content
Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
Knowledge and experience in the consumer packaged goods industry
Knowledge and experience in mass retail, online, and other consumer channels
Experience with marketing technology/tools
Ability to use analytics to take projects effectively from analysis to insight and implementation
Experience creating high-performing organic and paid social content for a consumer brand, including short-form video, community engagement, and platform-specific content strategies across channels such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest
Demonstrated ability to translate technical, product, or science-based information into clear, compelling social content that builds brand awareness, consumer trust, and engagement
Proficiency with social media management, listening, and analytics tools, with a track record of using performance insights to optimize content, inform strategy, and drive measurable business results
Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners, including marketing, R&D, creative agencies, and influencers, to develop on-brand content and execute integrated campaigns

Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
Relocation: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
